What is FFA?
A dynamic, student-led leadership development organization for agricultural education students.
What events are offered in the FFA?
LDE's - Leadership Development Events in the FFA are competitive contests designed to build members' public speaking, teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills. These events help students grow out of their shell, apply classroom agricultural knowledge, and prepare for future careers
CDE's - Career Development Events (CDEs) in FFA are competitive activities that allow students to develop and showcase real-world agricultural skills. Through CDEs, members apply classroom knowledge in areas like livestock judging, agronomy, ag mechanics, and more. These contests build leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, and career readiness while preparing students for future opportunities in agriculture.
SDE's - Speaking Development Events are individual competitive events help members build strong public speaking, effective communication, and advocacy skills by teaching them how to organize thoughts and present ideas clearly on agricultural and leadership topics.
SAE's - Supervised Agricultural Experience's are a hands-on, real-world project completed outside of class time by FFA members. It lets students apply agricultural classroom concepts, explore career paths, earn money, and build leadership or technical skills through practical experience.
