TxConnect for Parents
Guthrie CSD uses txConnect, an online portal for parents to monitor their child’s grades and attendance via the Internet. Grades and attendance information are protected by law, so we have set up a secure process to allow parents to access the system. Interested parents should come by the GCSD Administrative Office and see Misty Jones to sign for their username and password. Once parents have set up an account in the system they will have access to their child’s grades and attendance from any place where they have internet access.

Internet Safety Guide for Parents
This guide covers what you need to know, where to go for more information, and issues to raise with kids about living their lives online.

Gifted and Talented Services
Students in grades K-12th can be referred by teachers, parents, community members, or themselves once per year in the fall. If you would like to refer a student to the Gifted and Talented Program, fill out the following form and return it to the Principal. Once a referral is submitted, the school must obtain parent permission for the GT Evaluation. The evaluation will consist of both quantitative and qualitative assessments. The committee will meet to determine placement for each student and notify parents. Parents have the right to appeal the decision.

Internet Safety Guide for Parents
The online world can feel anonymous, and young people sometimes forget that they are still accountable for their actions. Some people online have bad intentions, including bullies, predators, hackers, and scammers. You may be concerned that your kids could find pornography, violence, or hate speech online. You can reduce these risks by talking to your kids about how they communicate—online and off— and encouraging them to engage in conduct they can be proud of. This guide covers what you need to know, where to go for more information, and issues to raise with kids about living their lives online.

Find Us on Facebook
In an effort to be better connected with our parents and community, GCSD has created a Facebook page. We invite all of our parents, community members, graduates and all others to *LIKE* the page. We have set up the page to be an important channel of information for all Guthrie CSD stakeholders. We think you'll enjoy receiving this new form of school information. Please let all your friends know about the page and encourage them to find us on Facebook.

Browse the Photo Gallery
All of our school photos are hosted on SmugMug.com. As you browse these galleries, keep in mind that parents and relatives can purchase prints of any photo they want and they will be shipped directly to them. We think that the print prices are very competitive and the print quality is exceptional. SmugMug guarantees us 100% satisfaction on all prints and customer service. All proceeds from these print sales will go towards student programs at the school.
